General Hours / Days You Are Expected to Work- (Home and Away games, expected to work all day. Times would vary) (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-7, 7-10) (Would work any day the team needed me too)
Main Duties - Field Coordinator throughout the entirety of game day. Assist in game day media relations tasks such as check-ins, statistics distribution and online coverage. Assist in match day operations such as customer service, setup and breakdown of the field, and sales. Assist with uniforms and warming up the players. Assistant Coach for the reserve team. Lastly, help with postgame interviews.
Compensation- Unpaid
Specific Goals you want to achieve while doing the experience- Before starting this internship I wanted to learn more about the sports marketing aspect of the spectrum. But as the internship progressed I began to really start to love being a coach and taking on that role and having the responsibility that came with it. I just wanted to gain more knowledge and experience in this specific field. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of my experience working with this club.
Expected Learning Outcomes- Coming in, I just knew that I wanted to help the team out and get as much experience and knowledge from the internship that I possibly could. Anytime I was offered an opportunity to work with a new group of people or can implement my own ideas I did not hold back. I learned how to have patience when it comes to coaching, it is way different than being a player and you must be patient and accept your role to truly become successful.
